Now in its fifth edition, this bilingual, easy-to-use Guide to Health Programs was created by HIA to increase access to health care services for low-income populations in California. Intended for families and health care providers, this resource contains simplified descriptions of and contact information for various existing public and private health and nutrition programs available in California and Mexico. Also included are definitions of commonly used terms such as "Public Charge" and "Federal Poverty Level," help telephone hotlines, and a list of accepted documentation to bring when applying for public programs.
Publication of this guide was made possible by the generous support of the California HealthCare Foundation.
