The purpose of this conference was to see what advances had been made since October 2015. Moreover, the event also provided the opportunity to further the work started in the in San Francisco and to advance the proposal. The meeting was held at the UNAM campus in Mexico City. A total of 56 people attended the event, including potential funders. Faculty from 5 UC campuses participated: UCB, UCSF, UCLA, UCSD, and UCD; and 12 Mexican institutions: INNSZ, UNAM, FUNSalud, INCan, siq, INSP, INPer, ITAM, HRAEs, MSF, IBERO and SRE.
