BHW 2001
The first Binational Health Week was composed of 115 community-based organizations from seven counties that helped plan activities at 98 sites. More than 950 people participated in the planning of activities. Over 18,720 people received direct health-care services during the week. The services included HIV testing, blood pressure and diabetes screenings, breast cancer screenings, immunizations, vision testing, and health insurance enrollment.
