BHW 2005
From seven California counties in 2001 to 27 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia and 3 Canadian provinces in 2005, Binational Health Week had grown tremendously over 5 five years. In 2005, activities reached more people, in more areas of North America, than in any previous year. This expansion was due in large part to partnerships between the Institute for Mexicans Abroad, Mexico’s Secretariats of Health and Foreign Affairs, the California-Mexico Health Initiative (a program of the University of California), the U.S.-Mexico Border Health Commission, and The California Endowment and the California HealthCare Foundation.
