As a Mexican-American born and raised in the Bay Area, HIA’s mission to improve the health and wellbeing of the Latino community living in the United States quickly aligned to Stephany’s interests. She began working at the Initiative as a sophomore at UC Berkeley in 2011, and continued working full-time after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Economy. Stephany is currently Assistant Director for HIA and on the verge of completing her Masters in Public Administration.
